ラブドールとはいわゆる 「ダッチワイフ」 のことであるが、これを作ってるのがオリエント工業という会社である。
その昔、タモリ倶楽部かトゥナイトでこの会社が作っているラブドールを 「本物の人間の肌の感触そっくり」 と紹介していたので、そのときに知ってそのままになっていたが、最近この会社の HP にたどりついた。全体的にラブドールは小倉優子似であるような気がするが、それは置いておいてｗ、写真で見る限りは随分気合いの入ったラブドールと言えるだろう。価格も、一体数十万円と、これを趣味で買うには随分勇気のいる挑戦的なプライシングだ（だからレンタルとかあるらしい。 3 ヶ月くらい前？に、このレンタルの人形を盗んだという事件を asahi.com で見た気がする）。

オリエント工業創設者の土屋日出夫氏は1944年生まれの60歳。
若き日の土屋氏は横浜から上京し、知人の経営するアダルトショップの手伝いをし、やがて独立して自らアダルトショップを経営する。

その結果、ユーザーからは驚くほどの反響を得たが、より女性の肉感に近くするなどの改善を加えていき、オリエント工業は、他のメーカーの追随を許さない日本一のドールーメーカーに成長した。
それは土屋氏の柔軟な発想と、新しい技術を積極的に取り入れては失敗と成功を繰り返す試行錯誤の連続から、必然的に生まれた結果かもしれない。
